The way to overcome grieving is not by leaving the past, but by living in the present and tapping the doors that the present opens. Whenever we experience some painful loss, it is natural that we grieve. At the same time, with the passage of time, we need to go beyond and grow beyond grieving. And that does not mean that we minimize the loss or that we forget those who we have lost. It does not mean leaving the past behind. It just means that we acknowledge life goes on and that by living in the present and by looking for the doors that the present is opening, we can live our life more fully and more meaningfully.
