If we make everything negotiable, then we ourselves end up becoming negotiable. Life often requires negotiations, but if we don’t have anything that is non-negotiable, then that means we have no inviolable values or principles. That essentially means we have no core to ourselves that is sacred – and if nothing is sacred for us, then we ourselves, that is we at our core, become negotiable. If there is nothing that we stand for: then we will fall for anything and everything. That’s why before we get into any negotiation, let’s begin with knowing what is non-negotiable for us.
