The mind often makes us feed the very people who are feeding us poison. Suppose in real life, we were offering abundant and expensive and opulent food to somebody who was returning the favour by feeding us poison. As soon as we understood that, we would stop feeding that person immediately and would try to starve and disempower and overpower that person. That is what we need to do to the impurities inside us. They are feeding us poison by giving us temptations and indulgences that destroy our spirituality, even our morality and our humanity. But instead of starving them, we are often feeding them by dwelling on those temptations. Let us stop such self-destruction right now.
