Krishna’s revelation of the Bhagavad Gita in its conclusion is private, not secret. When Krishna at the end of the Gita states that this knowledge is G-U-H-Y-A and should not be shared with everyone, that does not mean that he deliberately wants to keep it hidden. He is expressing his heart and that intimate revelation of his heart is primarily meant for those whose heart is open to learning about Krishna and loving Krishna. And thus it is that this revelation does not concern everyone. And that’s why Krishna says it is private, meaning that it is not meant for everyone, but he doesn’t want to keep it secret in the sense that he doesn’t want anyone to know about it.
