When delightful people seem annoying to us, that’s because it’s our own mentality that is annoying. Sometimes in our social circle, we just don’t like someone. And what we dislike even more is that everyone else seems to be liking that person. When everyone else finds somebody delightful and when we find that person annoying, rather than condemning other people, we can see that situation as an opportunity for confronting ourselves. Is there some filter inside us – maybe some jealousy, maybe some insecurity – that is causing us to view that person negatively? In this way, we can learn more about ourselves and more about how to make ourselves better.
