The uncertainty of life should not lead us towards apathy toward life, rather it should lead us toward inquiry of a life beyond this life. When we encounter death suddenly, especially in the social circle around us, we may think that all life is just pointless because it can all be ended in one brief and horrible moment. However, rather than developing such apathy toward life, death can be a pointer toward inquiry about whether there is something beyond this life. And the Bhagavad Gita can provide satisfying answers about a life that extends beyond this lifetime.
