Today the world is on fire with dozens and dozens of problems including literal fires caused by prolonged wars. When we want to help a world that is on fire, at that time it is important that we don’t either burn up or burn out. Burn up means that we rush into the fire to help others and we ourselves get caught in the fire or we burn out seeing so much destruction and negativity that we feel hopeless. To prevent these two pitfalls we need to make sure that our heart is on fire, not with anxiety about the world’s problems but with devotion and dedication, knowing that God’s grace is bigger than the world’s greatest problems.
