Even if we cannot get rid of fear, we don’t have to take a ride on fear. Fear is just a natural and often unavoidable reality of life in this world because we are finite and fragile beings in a huge and hugely dangerous world. Even though we can’t get rid of fear, that doesn’t mean that we have to ride on the back of fear. We don’t have to let fear take us on a wild ride into an imaginary world of danger and dystopia. Rather, we can calmly look at fear in the face and address its concerns by looking beyond fear to our Lord who is always protecting us.
