Bhagavad Gita 18.62
tam eva śaraṇaṁ gaccha
sarva-bhāvena bhārata
tat-prasādāt parāṁ śāntiṁ
sthānaṁ prāpsyasi śāśvatam
Take refuge in him with all your heart,
From him, O Bhārata, do not be apart;
By his grace you shall surely attain,
The supreme peace and the eternal domain.
My dear Lord, when I understand that you pervade all existence, and indeed guide me through all of life’s trials, I start appreciating you as the center of all being, and especially of my being. May that appreciation help me stop viewing everything—especially your message and your mission—through my default filter of “What’s in it for me?”
O merciful Lord, in the initial stages of my spiritual evolution, appreciating your relevance to me can motivate me to connect with you. Thus, I may stabilize my mind, regulate my cravings, and soothe my anxieties. Yet I cannot have a real and rich relationship with you if I remain stuck at that self-referential stage.
O all-attractive Lord, help me evolve to the higher level where I seek to make myself relevant to you. When I understand that I am your inalienable and imperishable part, I can appreciate that my existence gains significance not merely when I find some engagement that feels good to me. My existence gains enduring significance when I make myself relevant to you—by striving to integrate my plans within yours and to find my purpose within yours.
O beloved Lord, when I thus lovingly center my heart and soul on you, may my life become enriched with enduring meaning.

18.62 O scion of Bharata, surrender unto Him utterly. By His grace you will attain transcendental peace and the supreme and eternal abode.
