Arjuna said:

My illusion is destroyed; my memory restored—

These blessings have you graciously bestowed.

With doubts removed, mind calm and still,

I stand ready, O Acyuta, to do your will.

My dear Lord, your words do not just teach the principles, pathways, and pitfalls of living. They offer something much greater: a revelation of your loving nature, indeed of your unfailing and unflinching love for me.

O omnipotent Lord, let that revelation about you—not just your omnipotence, but also your omnibenevolence—help me see beyond the world’s chaos, confusion, and carnage. Help me know that you know what you are doing. Reassure my head and heart that your plan is always active. Invisibly, yet infallibly. Despite my many missteps and misdeeds.

O indwelling Lord, whenever I feel low or lost, let me look first to you—upward through prayer or inward through meditation. May the resulting calmness remind me that you are always with me, no matter what is done to me or what is done by me. May the remembrance of your presence give me the conviction to do your will, even in those times when your will is not clear.

O all-attractive Lord, may my confidence in your benevolence empower me to surrender to you, taking one step forward in a mood of service to you. Make me receptive and perceptive so that my next step, and indeed my every step, helps me perceive and participate in the symphony of your love that all of reality is playing and that you, the supreme divinity, are orchestrating.
