Bhagavad Gita 13.18
jyotiṣām api taj jyotis
tamasaḥ param ucyate
jñānaṁ jñeyaṁ jñāna-gamyaṁ
hṛdi sarvasya viṣṭhitam
It is the light beyond all light,
Beyond all darkness, pure and bright;
It is knowledge, known, the knowing way,
Dwelling in every heart each day.
My dear Lord, in the darkness that exists in this world—both in the outer world, with its confusing and dizzying array of alternatives, and in my inner world, with its many mighty desires pulling me in different directions—I often feel lost. The darkness is not because I see nothing, but because I see so many possible ways that I no longer know which is the way I should take.
The light I need, O beloved Lord, is the light of wisdom that you offer through your words. With that light, help me choose what is meaningful, not merely what is titillating.
O Supreme Guru, you offer me not only wisdom that lights the way, but also love that warms my heart as I walk that way. Help me remember that you are warming the way for me, so that I can be comforted enough to keep moving forward. I know that the way itself is not the home, and that I cannot and will not find ultimate comfort along the path.
O all-attractive Lord, through every small blessing that comes my way, help me increase my commitment to moving onward. Help me cherish you both as the source of those blessings and as the destination who awaits me at the end of the path—the embodiment and fulfillment of everything my heart desires, now and forever.

13.18 He is the source of light in all luminous objects. He is beyond the darkness of matter and is unmanifested. He is knowledge, He is the object of knowledge, and He is the goal of knowledge. He is situated in everyone’s heart.
