Just because we have a right to be unhappy does not mean that we are right to be unhappy. Sometimes, such terrible things may happen in our life that we naturally start feeling unhappy, morose, dejected, and defeated. In such times, we may feel that we have a right to be unhappy.

Even if that were a right, still, that does not make it right. By wallowing in our unhappiness, we only worsen the unhappiness. Instead, if we try to do something meaningful and positive amid that unhappiness, we can find a path out of that unhappiness toward a higher purpose, meaning, and ultimately, happiness.

(Inspired by Bhagavad-gita 18.35)
