Don’t cut people because they are slack. Cut people some slack. Whenever someone doesn’t live up to our expectations, it is natural that we become annoyed or even irritated with them. And if we find that they are slack in doing their responsibilities, we may get angry with them and cut them down with harsh words.

However, that can demoralize them so much that they may just quit. Instead, it is far better that we cut them some slack. None of us is perfect, and we all will stumble and fall at times. It is important that if we truly care, that means we don’t try to hold everyone accountable for every small thing. Rather than keeping track of every single wrong, we cut people some slack and thus give them space to grow.

(Inspired by Bhagavad-Gita 12.14)
