Base our confidence not on who we are but on whose we are. Whenever we face some difficult challenge, we often try to boost our confidence. Now, we can do it by thinking about how much ability we have, how much confidence, how much experience we have, and that can sometimes help.
But sometimes life may present us with such big challenges that our ability and experience may fall short. That’s why if we want to have enduring confidence, we need to base that confidence not on who we are, but whose we are. The Bhagavad Gita explains that each one of us is an eternal, precious part of God (Krishna), and God always has a plan for our life. The challenges coming in our life are not coming by chance. By knowing our connection with God, we can face our challenges with greater confidence.
