The easiest way to deal with temptation is to not deal with temptation. Whenever we are faced with temptation, especially temptations that we tend to succumb to, one of the easiest ways to face such temptations is by having some time and space for ourselves where we don’t have to face such temptations.

Such withdrawal of the senses into ourselves, as recommended by Bhagavad-Gita 2.58, when we thus focus on a higher reality within a safe space, whether it be a worship place in our home, or a sacred place like a temple, or a peaceful place like a park, riverside, or a hilltop, then we can, by reconnecting with higher realities, calm and strengthen ourselves. Thereafter, we can re-emerge to face temptation with greater strength.
