Bhagavad Gita 10.39

yac cāpi sarva-bhūtānāṁ

bījaṁ tad aham arjuna

na tad asti vinā yat syān

mayā bhūtaṁ carācaram

Of all that lives, I am the seed,

The source from which all forms proceed.

No being—moving or non-moving—

Exists apart from my sustaining.

O Lord, life can be overwhelming. There are times when I feel as if life has thrust upon me a crushing weight, one I can no longer lift or carry.

In real life, if a weight is too heavy to carry and must be borne, I ask someone for help. Similarly, O Lord, help me recognize that when life’s burden seems unbearable, You, O Lord, are forever ready to help, for You are always present with me, within my heart.

When my heart feels heavy, please help me to remember the power of remembering You. When my consciousness becomes permeated and animated by remembering Your greatness and Your kindness, my burden feels lighter. This almost magical and mystical decreasing of the burden on my heart comes not necessarily because the problem has gone away, but because Your empowering presence in my heart has driven the paralyzing fear of that problem away from my heart.

Be my strength always, my Lord. Grant me the strength of conviction to seek strength amid difficulties, not in my own skills and schemes, but first and foremost in Your magnificence and munificence.

10.39 Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being – moving or nonmoving – that can exist without Me.
