We don’t get to choose whether we die, but we do get to choose whether we live before we die. Death is unavoidable for everyone. Sometimes when we confront death, we may start feeling helpless, especially if someone young dies unexpectedly. However, while we are helpless about the inevitability of death, what we are not helpless about is what we do before death comes upon us. Will we just live in fear of death? Will we just waste our time and our life in craving for petty pleasures and complaining when we don’t get them? – Or will we strive to do something meaningful and valuable, producing something of beauty and thereby living before we die?
