To think that we are indispensable is an illusion. But to think that we are dispensable is also an illusion. Whenever we have some significant responsibility, say we have a family to look after or we have some major service to do, we may think that we are indispensable, and that is an illusion because the world will move on without us. Maybe not in the exact same way, but the world will move on.
However, this notion can take us to the other extreme and make us feel that we are dispensable in the sense that we are utterly worthless. Actually, Krishna cares for each one of us, and in his eyes, we are never dispensable. He values us and wants us.
