The capacity to appreciate our blessings is the greatest blessing. We are all surrounded by blessings in our lives, be they small or big. Yet our mind keeps looking away from those blessings towards the problems in our life. Such a mind is like a curse — it is the cause of great unhappiness.
Fortunately, by the practice of bhakti-yoga, such a mind can become transformed whereby it starts looking away from problems towards blessings. It starts valuing and cherishing and relishing those blessings, thereby propelling us toward happiness. Such a mind is itself the greatest blessing.
