Just because we can’t help everyone doesn’t mean that we should help no one. Helpfulness is always a virtue; It is just helpfulness without thoughtfulness that becomes a problem. Sometimes when we try to help others and that other person does not respond positively. That person continues to spiral down a negative path. We may start becoming disheartened and think, I can’t help everyone. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t help anyone. We need to still try to help, and we just need to become more intelligent in evaluating who is receiving our help more gratefully and positively – and investing our efforts in those people.
