Miracles are not against science; they are above science. Every theistic tradition has accounts of miracles performed by God, wherein actions are done that seem impossible within the normal laws of nature. Many people dismiss these miracles as unscientific; however, they are trans-scientific. The laws of nature are accepted by God. In fact, they are sustained by Him. But He is not within them; He is above them. He makes those laws, and He can suspend those laws when He wants. When Krishna lifts Govardhan Hill, He suspends the law of gravity. He is above science, not against science.
