Bhagavad Gita 2.65
prasāde sarva-duḥkhānāṁ

“Through divine grace, all sorrows cease,
From all its burdens, the heart finds release.
With a mind serene and free from strife,
Wisdom stands strong, guiding one’s life.”
My dear Lord, you are always ready to bless me with inner peace that comes when I connect with you and become absorbed in you. But unfortunately, I want that peace while hoping and dreaming of getting it without connecting with you. I keep craving for and chasing after the objects of the world, becoming completely consumed by thoughts of them—then I wonder why my mind does not find any peace.
Nonetheless, you are so kind that you keep sharing divine wisdom with me and keep prodding me from within to try to connect with you. You also bless me with moments of profound serenity.
On some occasions, when I come into your presence—be it in a holy place with its sacred ambiance or in the association of saintly people whose very character and demeanor demonstrate that they are rooted in a reality far beyond the mundane reality that occupies and preoccupies me—my entire matrix of experience changes.
In those moments of serenity, all anxieties and agitations of the world become inconsequential. Indeed, the whole world pales into insignificance as I experience your magnificence and transcendence.
I beg you, O Lord, let those moments come more frequently in my life and remain more actively in my memory so that they become the drivers of my desires.
