Bhagavad Gita 10.9

With their lives and hearts in me aligned,

Sharing sights and insights that lift the mind;

Satisfied in speaking of me whenever they meet—

Enriched by realizations supremely sweet.

My dear Lord, to fill my mind with you and to dedicate my life to you, I absolutely need desire for you: a desire that is deep, determined, even defining. Such desire is fueled by knowing your all-attractiveness and beyond it by experiencing enriching ecstasy through bhakti practices.

O Lord of all hearts, desire for you grows not just linearly when I experience you directly, but also triangularly when I connect with those who are also experiencing you. The more I discuss with the devotionally minded, the more I recognize how you reveal to them different aspects of your personality, your glory, your divinity, and thus I keep coming to know more about the Lord whom I have come to know and accept as the Lord of my heart.

Indeed, O merciful Lord, when I am not able to connect with you because my desire weakens—either because of the world’s temptations or the world’s tribulations or even because of doubts about your presence or benevolence—it is association with those who are still driven by strong desire for you that rejuvenates my desire for you.

Bless me, O ever accessible Lord, so that I can become absorbed in you both through my personal contemplation in a mood of devotion and through my social exploration with those who are leading a life of devotion.
