Let me seek the spiritual not just speak of it
Bhagavad Gita 2.16

nābhāvo vidyate sataḥ

“The unreal has no lasting place,
The real forever holds its space.
The seers have known this truth profound,
That indeed is life’s unchanging ground.”
My dear Lord, in this world, it is so easy for my perception to become perverted, leading me to consider the visible material reality as real and the invisible spiritual reality as unreal. Even though I philosophically know that the spiritual is lasting and therefore truly real, I practically downplay its importance to such an extent that I live as if denying its very existence.
Indeed, there are times when my life choices make me seem no better than a materialist. O Lord, please let me remember that wisdom is not measured by the words I speak, but by the values I seek.
Let me not merely speak to others about the reality and primacy of the spiritual. Let me genuinely give higher priority to the spiritual through the lived choices of my everyday life—indeed, in every moment.
The spiritual is not just some vague sentiment or a metaphorical reference to my non-material essence. Let me prioritize the spiritual by tangibly nourishing the needs of my soul, consciously linking it with you, the Supreme Divine Whole.
Bless me, my Lord, so that I may realize and relish the sublime fulfillment and enrichment that awaits me—that indeed beckons me—as I strive to mold my life in the light of the truth that is held sacred by the wise: ultimately, the bond of love between me as the soul and you as the Whole is all that matters.

02.16 Those who are seers of the truth have concluded that of the nonexistent [the material body] there is no endurance and of the eternal [the soul] there is no change. This they have concluded by studying the nature of both.
