Generally sleeping is thought of as an activity in the mode of ignorance, which doesn’t help us to grow spiritually: however, every night when we go to sleep, we experience that we are something more than our body when we dream – our body is on bed doing nothing and yet we are experiencing so many things. If we reflect on the phenomena of dreams, we can understand that there is something more to ourselves than our physical shells, our bodies. Of course to realize what that more is, we can’t just continue sleeping and dreaming – we need to wake up and do spiritual practices practices which will help us understand that we are souls.
