God does not come from our imagination; our imagination comes from God, and it can take us to God as well as away from God. Some people have merely imagined certain beings as God. However, God is the source of everything, including those people and their power of imagination. Nothing can exist without God. God gives us the power of imagination so that we can think of things beyond our vision. If we use our imagination to perceive God, then our imagination can lead us toward Him. But if we use our imagination solely for fantasizing worldly pleasures, then it can take us away from Him.
