You are the transcendent shelter beneath and beyond all practical shelters (8.07)
Bhagavad Gita 8.7
tasmāt sarveṣu kāleṣu mām anusmara yudhya ca
mayy arpita-mano-buddhir mām evaiṣyasy asaṁśayaḥ
Therefore always remember me and shoulder your obligation,
With mind and intelligence fixed in the deep conviction:
I provide and pervade all the things that offer you protection
Living thus, you will surely reach me, the supreme destination.
My dear Lord, remembering you does not mean that I turn away from my responsibilities in this world; it means that my mind and intelligence become enriched with the conviction that it is you who empower me to fulfill my responsibilities.
O all-pervading Lord, whatever things help me to face life’s challenges in this danger-filled world, help me appreciate that ultimately you are providing me shelter through those things. When I feel hungry and find some food, it is you who are sheltering me through that food. When I feel that my life is worthless and some ability enables me to do something worthwhile, it is you who are sheltering me through that ability. When I feel lonely and find a meaningful relationship, it is you who are sheltering me through that relationship. All such shelters, even if temporary, are practically essential and devotionally valuable in pointing me to you, my eternal shelter.
O supremely enlightening Lord, let me realize that you are always my shelter, even when I have the power to create some practical shelters through my actions. Then when I lose that power at the time of death, I will remember that you are still there as my transcendental shelter, even when I have no practical shelter.

08.07 Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me in the form of Kṛṣṇa and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt.
