To have options is empowering; To have the intelligence to know which options are good for us is even more empowering; And to have the self-discipline to choose the options that are good for us is most empowering; Empowerment is a buzzword nowadays. And often empowerment is interpreted as rejecting old traditions or customs that restrict people’s options. Yes, providing people options can be empowering. But what is even more empowering is providing them the intelligence by which they can actually know with farsightedness which options are good for them. And what is most empowering is to provide people the foundation of discipline by which they can actually choose the options that are the best for them.
