tasmād oṁ ity udāhṛtya
yajña-dāna-tapaḥ-kriyāḥ
pravartante vidhānoktāḥ
satataṁ brahma-vādinām

Synonyms:

tasmāt — therefore; oṁ — beginning with oṁ; iti — thus; udāhṛtya — indicating; yajña — of sacrifice; dāna — charity; tapaḥ — and penance; kriyāḥ — performances; pravartante — begin; vidhānauktāḥ — according to scriptural regulation; satatam — always; brahmavādinām — of the transcendentalists.

Translation:

Therefore, transcendentalists undertaking performances of sacrifice, charity and penance in accordance with scriptural regulations begin always with oṁ, to attain the Supreme.

tasmād oṁ ity udāhṛtya, therefore after uttering OM,

what will people do?

yajña-dāna-tapaḥ-kriyāḥ, these are actions in Vedic traditions which are considered pious.

pravartante vidhānoktāḥ, pravartante means to begin, vidhān means scriptural directions

satataṁ brahma-vādinām, brahma-vādinām, those who are seeking after Brahm, the Absolute truth,

So this is how OM has been chanted earlier and will be chanted by one who wanted to elevate their consciousness.

So here brahma-vādi doesn’t refers to the Brahmavadi we refer generally, Mayavadi and Brahmavadi. Here Brahmavadi means those who are adhering to scriptures and aiming for scriptural life in general. So that ultimately they can become transcendental.
