TRANSLATION
For one thus satisfied [in Krishna consciousness], the threefold miseries of material existence exist no longer; in such satisfied consciousness, one’s intelligence is soon well-established.
Prasade, when one gets Prasad,
Sarva-duhkhanam hanir, all miseries go away.
Asyopajayate, all miseries go away for such a person.
Prasanna-cetaso hy asu, such a person becomes joyful, chetana becomes joyful, asu, quickly.
Buddhih paryavatishthate, and at that time intelligence becomes rock-solid or unshakable.
Once we get a higher taste, all miseries go away. Sarva-duhkhanam hanir -> How is that possible since all threefold miseries will continue; we will fall sick, etc. So, this means it depends on our consciousness because KC joy is so great that miseries don’t matter. For example, if I have to eat one dry chapati, then I may think, ‘Why is it like that?’ But if I have so many delicious items to eat, and in that, one of them is not good, then that one item doesn’t matter and becomes insignificant. Similarly, if I am feeling happiness at the spiritual level, then material miseries don’t matter as the happiness is so much. As long as we are in the material nature, threefold miseries will be there, but that doesn’t matter as we are connected to Krishna.
When we are experiencing such happiness (prasanna-cetaso hy asu), then buddhih paryavatishthate, our intelligence becomes fixed. So, why does it take time for our buddhi to become fixed? From the time we started hearing scripture, our buddhi becomes stronger, but when we experience spiritual happiness, it will become fixed or become much greater. Initially, things look logical; our intelligence becomes strong, but when we experience it, we will be happier (pratyakṣāvagamaṁ dharmyaṁ su-sukhaṁ kartum avyayam 9.2). Like initially, we hear about a doctor, but when we experience and get benefitted, then our conviction is strong.
Similarly, in KC, we cannot trust our intelligence; scripture is our intelligence. To the degree we remember scripture, to that degree, we act intelligently. Intelligence means the practice of remembering Guru, Sadhu, Sastra, and acting accordingly. To the extent we don’t remember Guru, Sadhu, and Shastra, to that extent, we can’t remember properly, and to the extent we can’t remember appropriately, to that extent, we put ourselves under trouble; we put ourselves to suffering.
Intellectuals, great thinkers, scientists, etc., sometimes may have material intelligence, which means to process a lot of information, but they fall prey to sense gratification and get victimized because of greed, lust, affairs, and sense enjoyment. To safeguard themselves, they need a higher taste, which is based on higher intelligence, etc.
How will we do Kim Vrajea -> We make scriptures our borders and move along, we follow Guru, Sadhu, Sastra.”
