Suppose we are in a turbulent ocean; naturally, as we are tossed by the waves, we will be shaken and smashed and will feel fear. But, say if one hand of ours has got hold of a rope that extends far above the water and is linked to a helicopter, then even though the water is still hitting us, we won’t be so disturbed because we know we are safe as long as we are connected. Similarly, spirituality helps us understand that we have a core that is indestructible, and the more we link with that core, the less we feel anxiety.

To rise above anxiety, know that we have a core that is already above the uncertainty of the world and connect with that core.
