Intelligence means to see beyond the things that glitter to the things that matter. The world is filled with shiny trinkets and toys and these can captivate our attention and consume our entire life in their endless pursuit. Just like a child may spend its entire time playing with toys, similarly we have a childlike mind which gets captivated with the many toys that the world dangles in front of us. Therefore, it is vital that we activate our intelligence which can see beyond the things that glitter to the things that matter, to the things that will endure – ultimately the things that will connect us with the Lord who endures eternally and with whom we can endure eternally.
