Translation:
Of the hymns in the Sāma Veda I am the Bṛhat-sāma, and of poetry I am the Gāyatrī. Of months I am Mārgaśīrṣa [November-December], and of seasons I am flower-bearing spring.
bṛhat-sāma, in Sama Veda there is Brhat sama which is very melodious which is used of praising and glorifying,
gāyatrī chandasām aham, In vedas there are various meters and among them one of the meter is Gayatri and that is a special meter, that meter represents Krishna. Sometime this is referred to Gayatri mantra also, that is also one understanding, but here the point is among the chanda I am Gayatri.
māsānāṁ mārga-śīrṣo ’ham, then among the months, I am mārga-śīrṣa, why marga-sirsa (Nov-Dec) because that is the time when nature reveals its bounty so that is considered as manifestation of Krishna..
ṛtūnāṁ kusumākaraḥ, ritu is seasons, kusumākaraḥ, ākaraḥ is maker, so perls are formed in the ocean so ocean are called Ratnakara, so like that kusumākaraḥ is one which forms Kusumah, flowers that is flower bearing spring.
