Translation:
Of the many-hooded Nāgas I am Ananta, and among the aquatics I am the demigod Varuṇa. Of departed ancestors I am Aryamā, and among the dispensers of law I am Yama, the lord of death.
anantaś cāsmi nāgānāṁ, so earlier it was among snakes I am Vasuki and now it is Nagas, so what is the difference between Naga and Sarpa? So Acharyas describes that Naga is a multi-headed serpent they are observed in few cases even in modern times e.g. Kaliya, and among them most celebrated is Anantha, so power of Anantha is opulence of Krishna by seeing them we can remember Krishna
varuṇo yādasām aham, yādasām, aquatics, so among aquatics I am Varuna,
pitṝṇām aryamā cāsmi, among the ancestors I am Aryama who is chief of ancestors. Average Punya goes to Pita Loka, above average punya goes to Swarga Loka, so normal destination of ansistors is pitra loka. Paapa goes to Narak loka, so predominating deity of Pitr loka is Aryama.
yamaḥ saṁyamatām aham, among dispenses of law those who bring sayam on others who am I? Yama means Yamraj, people wanted to break free and defies in this world and they may do that to some extent but ultimately they are all regulated by Yamaraj, they cannot escape power of Yamaraj, there is cosmic system of justice that no one can escape.
