mac-cittā mad-gata-prāṇā
bodhayantaḥ parasparam
kathayantaś ca māṁ nityaṁ
tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca
Word for word:
mat–cittāḥ — their minds fully engaged in Me; mat–gata–prāṇāḥ — their lives devoted to Me; bodhayantaḥ — preaching; parasparam — among themselves; kathayantaḥ — talking; ca — also; mām — about Me; nityam — perpetually; tuṣyanti — become pleased; ca — also; ramanti — enjoy transcendental bliss; ca — also.
Translation:
The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me.
mac-cittā, one offers one’s consciousness or mind to Me, Srila Prabhupada has translated it very aptly in such a nice way The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me.
When we love Krishna, Krishna becomes our inner home.
We may have different mental homes cricket, movie, sense gratification etc. if we have nothing to do then our mind goes there, so whole purpose of devotion is to make Krishna our inner home.
SB also talks about this:
SB 2.8.6
dhautātmā puruṣaḥ kṛṣṇa-
pāda-mūlaṁ na muñcati
mukta-sarva-parikleśaḥ
pānthaḥ sva-śaraṇaṁ yathā
Word for word:
dhauta–ātmā — whose heart has been cleansed; puruṣaḥ — the living being; kṛṣṇa — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; pāda–mūlam — the shelter of the lotus feet; na — never; muñcati — gives up; mukta — liberated; sarva — all; parikleśaḥ — of all miseries of life; pānthaḥ — the traveler; sva–śaraṇam — in his own abode; yathā — as it were.
Translation:
A pure devotee of the Lord whose heart has once been cleansed by the process of devotional service never relinquishes the lotus feet of Lord Kṛṣṇa, for they fully satisfy him, as a traveler is satisfied at home after a troubled journey.
pānthaḥ, is traveler
sva-śaraṇaṁ yathā, one’s own shelter, one’s own home
Just as a traveler weary after a long journey comes back home and feels comfort, joy, love, security and happiness like and traveler doesn’t wanted to leave again similarly dhautātmā, one who is purified soul such a person kṛṣṇa- pāda-mūlaṁ na muñcati, that person never gives up the lotus feet of Krishna why? mukta-sarva-parikleśaḥ, there one is freed from all parikleśaḥ, one is freed from all misery that is the way it works out in devotees life.
That everything else may agitate the mind but when we bring mind to Krishna the mind becomes peaceful. Like external condition is hot but when we come to a room which has AC suddenly we feel comfortable.
So the three primary faculties of our existence are described over here
Mac –citta –mind
Mad-gataprana–life itself / body
So the whole existence is offered to Krishna, devotee live whole life simply for the service of Krishna for no other purpose,
Bodhayatah…..- when other speak we understand
Parasparam …to each other
Kathayanta -> when we speak
nityaṁ -> forever
Tushyanti–satisfied with current level of advancement (I didn’t deserve wht I got)
Ramanti–Delighted –madhuryarasa about what is going to come in the future
They delight in enlighting each-other.
Lord Chaitanya has exhibited in Puri in Gambhira this kathayantaś ca māṁ nityaṁ, tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca
So body, mind and speech all are used in the service of Krishna.
The joy of Krishna Katha is greater than the greatest joy in the material existence. When two likeminded and like taste devotees come together and discusses Krishna there is no parallel joy than that in this world.
SP Purport: Bhakti Lata Bija & Sravana and Kirtana.
So this verse in BG also talks about the joy of association in Bhakti. Association of likeminded devotees.
So it talks primarily about Abhideha how to practice devotion, and the delight tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca is talking about Prayojana
