Whenever we are put in a sudden unexpected and unfavorable, even unbearable situation, we may resent and even condemn either God or ourselves for having such a terrible fate. Thankfully however, destiny does not control everything. Although our situations are beyond our control, our decisions are not. What do we do in those situations is entirely up to us. Even if there is a small thing we can do; if we start doing that small positive thing, that will create positivity within and take us toward positivity without.

18.35 And that determination which cannot go beyond dreaming, fearfulness, lamentation, moroseness and illusion – such unintelligent determination, O son of Pṛthā, is in the mode of darkness.
