Bhagavad Gita 2.7

“With weakness clouding my mind,

Confused about dharma, no path I find.

Tell me for certain what is best to do,

I am your disciple—guide me through.”

My dear Lord, bless me to remember that no matter how confusing or confounding my situation is, you are always there for me to turn to. Even when it is difficult to know what is the right thing to do, let me be grateful that I still have the desire to do the right thing.

Bless me, O Lord, so that I can see your blessing even in situations when I see no blessing. Even when life confounds me, thrusting me into dilemmas where no way seems to be the right way, let me remember that there remains one right way for me—one that nothing in the world can ever take away from me. That right way is to turn to you, O Lord, who can find a way through even the messiest of situations.

Help me to remember that you and you alone are with me through all of life’s turbulences, even those that take away my intelligence to know the right thing to do. Bless me, O Lord, so that no matter what else I lose, I may never lose the intelligence to turn toward you.

Let confusion in the world never disconnect me from you. Let it only increase the fervency and urgency with which I seek a connection with you.

02.07 Now I am confused about my duty and have lost all composure because of miserly weakness. In this condition I am asking You to tell me for certain what is best for me. Now I am Your disciple, and a soul surrendered unto You. Please instruct me.

Even when there is no right way, you remain the right way
