Some people think that if they had nothing in their lives that would cause them worry, anxiety, or fear, their lives would be peaceful. However, we humans and our minds are not designed to just be passive and not take any initiative in life. When we have nothing substantial to be concerned about, to invest our emotions, thoughts, and energies in — then any small thing starts becoming big, and we find ourselves getting worried about what is going wrong in this part of the world and what is going wrong here and there. Therefore, rather than trying to eliminate anxiety, we need to select responsibility for worthwhile things and accept the concomitant anxiety that comes with it.

When we have nothing to worry about, we don’t stop worrying — we start worrying about anything and everything.
