Whenever we worry in life, it’s because things are either going out of our control or threatening to do so, which brings a shocking and disturbing reminder that we are not controllers—a reality of life. Meditating helps us recognize that we don’t need to be controllers—it connects us with a divine reality who is in control, even when things seem to be spiraling out of our control. The more we connect with this divine reality, the more we gain a sense of security, even when things are beyond our control.

Worrying reminds us that we are not the controllers; meditating reminds us that we don’t need to be the controllers.
