Earlier we had discussed how the Vedic understanding of the universe being controlled by conscious beings the devatas is not contradictory of the scientific understanding of the universe operating according to mechanism but these are complementary. We will discuss another example to conclude this.
annād bhavanti bhūtāni, all living entities subsist on grains. And where do grains come from parjanyād anna-sambhavaḥ, so grains come from rains.
Parjanyā is also the name of father of Nandha Mahara.
parjanyād anna-sambhavaḥ, so they were dependent on cows and cows needed grass so in that sense name related are natural.
yajñād bhavati parjanyo, so where does grains come from?
Grains come from Yajna, and
yajñaḥ karma-samudbhavaḥ, Yajna comes from Karma.
This and next verse are related to we will discuss both together.
