Have you ever felt that your life is not as successful as you had dreamt it will be? You may feel bitter because the world didn’t give you enough opportunity to showcase your ability or because fate didn’t give you enough ability. Even if your thoughts are bitter, you can still think better. Here’s how.

How much ability we have,
and how much opportunity we get—
that’s not in our control.

But how much responsibility we take
for the ability and opportunity we do have—
that is very much in our control. The Bhagavad Gita (17.16) recommends such a shift of mental focus from things that make us bitter to things that can make us better. Let’s take responsibility
for fully tapping the ability and the opportunity we have. Thus, we can improve our ability, prepare ourselves for getting bigger opportunities and pave the way to a brighter future.
