Bg 11.51

arjuna uvāca
dṛṣṭvedaṁ mānuṣaṁ rūpaṁ
tava saumyaṁ janārdana
idānīm asmi saṁvṛttaḥ
sa-cetāḥ prakṛtiṁ gataḥ

Synonyms: 

arjunaḥ uvāca — Arjuna said; dṛṣṭvā — seeing; idam — this; mānuṣam — human; rūpam — form; tava — Your; saumyam — very beautiful; janārdana — O chastiser of the enemies; idānīm — now; asmi — I am; saṁvṛttaḥ — settled; sa–cetāḥ — in my consciousness; prakṛtim — to my own nature; gataḥ — returned.

Translation: 

When Arjuna thus saw Kṛṣṇa in His original form, he said: O Janārdana, seeing this humanlike form, so very beautiful, I am now composed in mind, and I am restored to my original nature.

Can Krishna’s form be called human form, yes Krishna form can be called human form it cannot be called material form.

To say Krishna has a human form is not offensive to say Krishna has a material form is incorrect, and to say Krishna from is illusory and we have to go

beyond it is not just incorrect but offensive.

Previous verse Krishna says see my saumya-vapur which Arjuna is confirming here.

sa-cetāḥ prakṛtiṁ gataḥ, Return to my own nature at material level is nature of Kshetriya and at spiritual level nature of a devotee who loves Krishna.

External disturbances disturbs us and our expectation is that Krishna should set the external things right and that is what we pray to Krishna for but ultimately the external is not the shelter for us the shelter is the internal, To the extent externals disturb us to that extent it indicates that our internal is not sheltered in Krishna. So example say share market crash if we are disturbed it indicates I am not sheltered in Krishna and it should increase. This way Krishna shows us that we have not taken proper shelter of Krishna. Let me move my inner shelter from money to Krishna. My position is challenged people are not respecting me as a counsellor, then we understand that my shelter is in the prestige I am getting as a counsellor. We need external also to be right to serve

Krishna, we need financial stability to serve Krishna. External changes are meant to primarily help us do internal changes. When we do that we return to inner calmness sa-cetāḥ prakṛtiṁ gataḥ, restored to my original nature.

dṛṣṭvedaṁ mānuṣaṁ rūpaṁ, God’s original form is like human.

Our form is like God’s form and not God’s from is like us.

God’s form is like us is very self-centered approach and the reference point is we or I.
