Translation:
Thinking of You as my friend, I have rashly addressed You “O Kṛṣṇa,” “O Yādava,” “O my friend,” not knowing Your glories. Please forgive whatever I may have done in madness or in love. I have dishonored You many times, jesting as we relaxed, lay on the same bed, or sat or ate together, sometimes alone and sometimes in front of many friends. O infallible one, please excuse me for all those offenses.
sakheti matvā, I thought of You as friend
prasabhaṁ, it is presumptuous on my part to do like this
sakheti matvā prasabhaṁ yad uktaṁ
So I presumptuously addressed You as what?
he kṛṣṇa he yādava he sakheti
So I addressed You as O Krishna, O Yadava, O Sakha,
ajānatā mahimānaṁ tavedaṁ
ajānatā, I did not know
mahimānaṁ tavedaṁ, Your glory I did not know
mayā pramādāt praṇayena vāpi, so the reason for this presumptuous behavior could be pramādā, madness or praṇaya love.
So here we can see that the rasa is changing, we never sees Gopas in Vrindavan apologizing to Krishna their relationship is very close they tease Krishna they wrestle with Krishna, sometimes they defeat Krishna also.
In Gopla Champu it is described after defeating wrestlers of Kamsa, Krishna called His friends in wrestling arena and He wrestle with them and they defeated Krishna and Kamsa was amazed what is going on here, these children Krishna and Balaram defeated my wrestlers and they are again defeated by other children.
Actually Skahya Rasa of Vrij Vasi is called Visrambhaya Sakya, it is very intimate sakya, so there sakya is very rarely covered over by Krishna’s divinity for them Krishna is a loveable child among them. For Arjuna now he is paying obeisances going down and seeking forgiveness so this is called as Gaurav Sakya, where there is awareness of the greatness of the person. From our perspective Sakya itself is a very exalted platform this is understand how much relishable and intimate the relationship in Vrindavan are.
Then he further described that it is not that I addressed You like this but other times
yac cāvahāsārtham asat-kṛto ’si, for the sake of joking what did I do? asat-kṛto ’si, means I acted improperly
What was that?
vihāra-śayyāsana-bhojaneṣu, they were friends so sometimes they will lie down together, Vihara, they will play together, śayyāsana, they will sit together, bhojaneṣu, they will take food together.
So at that time what happen?
eko ’tha vāpy acyuta tat-samakṣaṁ, so sometime when I was alone I spoke teasing to You, make fun of You, of course out of love, sometimes I did this in presence of others,
You are achuta, I am not achuta, I can commit mistakes, so You please forgive me for my mistakes. tat-samakṣaṁ
tat kṣāmaye tvām aham aprameyam,
tat kṣāmaye tvām, please forgive me I ask Kshema for that
So Arjuna when he understood how great his friend is he feel actually I acted erroneously.
