arjuna uvāca
mad-anugrahāya paramaṁ
guhyam adhyātma-saṁjñitam
yat tvayoktaṁ vacas tena
moho ’yaṁ vigato mama
Word for word:
arjunaḥ uvāca — Arjuna said; mat–anugrahāya — just to show me favor; paramam — supreme; guhyam — confidential subject; adhyātma — spiritual; saṁjñitam — in the matter of; yat — what; tvayā — by You; uktam — said; vacaḥ — words; tena — by that; mohaḥ — illusion; ayam — this; vigataḥ — is removed; mama — my.
Translation:
Arjuna said: By my hearing the instructions You have kindly given me about these most confidential spiritual subjects, my illusion has now been dispelled.
mad-anugrahāya paramaṁ, so out of Your great mercy on me, what have You done? guhyam adhyātma-saṁjñitam, You have spoken spiritual knowledge to Me, which is very Guhya which is not very easy to understand.
yat tvayoktaṁ vacas tena, tvaya + uktaṁ the words that You have spoken, vacas
What happens by that? moho ’yaṁ vigato mama, my Moha has gone away, vigata. Vigata means to go away, so my moha has gone away, it is interesting that Arjuna is saying that now I have no moha, this is what Arjuna will say at the end of the Gita, 18.73 Nasto Moha Smirta Labdha…In 10.11 Chatur Sloki BG, Arjuna has accepted Krishna’s glorious position Prama Brahma Param Dhama…and Arjuna has shown that he has established true understanding, and thereafter whatever questions are there, they are for Loka Sangraha, for the sake of benefiting other’s, so he is thinking how to benefit another’s and accordingly he is asking questions, Mad Anugraha Paramam, so out of Your great mercy You have spoken all these to Me and I am grateful to You and by what You have spoken the Moha is gone.
