Bg 7.22

sa tayā śraddhayā yuktas
tasyārādhanam īhate
labhate ca tataḥ kāmān
mayaiva vihitān hi tān

Word for word:

saḥ — he; tayā — with that; śraddhayā — inspiration; yuktaḥ — endowed; tasya — of that demigod; ārādhanam— for the worship; īhate — he aspires; labhate — obtains; ca — and; tataḥ — from that; kāmān — his desires;mayā — by Me; eva — alone; vihitān — arranged; hi — certainly; tān — those.

Translation:

Endowed with such a faith, he endeavors to worship a particular demigod and obtains his desires. But in actuality these benefits are bestowed by Me alone.

sa tayā śraddhayā yuktas

Equipped with this faith

tasyārādhanam īhate

that person, ārādhanam is same as architam, that person worships īhate, aspires or endeavours. So equipped with the faith the person worships

and then the person gets the result

labhate ca tataḥ kāmān

the person gets the desire, Kaman word is used same as in 7.20 Kameste Hritaq Jayana…

so because of Kama one is doing this and here labhate kāmān, one gets the Kama,

and Sri Krishna is telling

mayaiva vihitān hi tān

it is actually by My mercy he is getting it.

Actually Krishna tells here it is I who is the giver of the result, so devatah doesn’t have independent power to give result, devatah’s power are there but their power ultimately comes from Sri Krishna from the Supreme Lord alone, and that is why if there is a confrontation between devatahs and Supreme Lord then devatas always pays and fails because they can’t confront and conquer Sri Krishna. That is what we can see in SB that whenever Brahma Ji, Shiva Ji or other devathas contest with Sri Krishna they are defeated.

So overall point from this section is power of demigods are coming from Sri Krishna. mayaiva vihitān hi tān, so whatever blessings anybody gives that blessings come from Sri Krishna.

Srila Prabhupada Purport: For the living entity who desires to return to Godhead, material desires are impediments.

So a devotee are not caught in such desires the devotees focuses on glorifying Krishna and returning back to Sri Krishna.
